What is better than curling up on your favorite reading spot, whether it be your chair, couch, or bed, wrapped up in a cozy throw and drinking a nice hot cup of your favorite tea?

Tea Drinking Reader: A book lover who enjoys sipping on a hot cup (or cold if it’s summer) of tea while diving into their latest read.

My husband and I came up with the term “Tea Drinking Readers” one summer on a cruise boat. We were sitting on the deck by the pool reading our new books bought for relaxation and we started discussing some life changes we wanted to implement when we returned from our journey. What we decided would fit perfectly into our new way was becoming “Tea Drinking Readers!”

I love drinking tea while doing a variety of activities: reading, writing, meditating, or working on my Master’s activities. My love of drinking tea came long before we coined the phrase “Tea Drinking Readers” during my time working as an educator in an after school program. It was here that I discovered Yerba Mate, the national drink of Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay. This energizing tea is thought to improve digestion, balance, and mental clarity, as well as containing antioxidants!

My love of tea drinking only spiraled out of control from here on out! My dear friend gifted us the most amazing tea set for our wedding; the perfect start to my tea pot collection! I also became a bit of a “tea snob,” drinking only the most natural teas I could find. My favorite brand of tea is Mighty Leaf Tea; this tea is made from whole leaves and flowers and is packaged in silken tea pouches that are biodegradable!
