Tuesdays With Morrie
By Mitch Albom

Tuesdays With Morrie is an inspiring story about the relationship between a teacher and his former pupil. Mitch had an inspiring mentor and professor that he had lost contact with over the years as life had gotten in the way. When he reconnects with Morrie, his professor and mentor, he realizes his mentor and friend is dying and in his last months of living. Mitch vows to visit Morrie and talk with him every Tuesday, just as before when he went to college. This time the lessons are on life.

Tuesdays With Morrie was recommended to me by my high school photography teacher, Mr. Nichols. He mentioned this book to me as a must read and that I would really enjoy it. From then on I went on the quest of finding Tuesdays With Morrie; it was not hard to find, just expensive and I was a poor college student. I finally found a used copy for less than $5, bought it, and read it in less than a day. I suppose I should have taken more time with this book, but really the story was so inspiring and sweet how could I put it down to deal with everyday life? Tuesdays With Morrie has embedded within it the most important lessons for living life; this book made me realize that the generations before me really do have important life lessons that can be passed on. This book will make you laugh and cry, but mostly cry. Perfect for curling up on the couch with a hot cup of tea and devouring every word.
